BIG SKY MONTANA
Big Sky Montana was the popular vote for our 2027 out West ski trip. We are gathering prices for accommodations. We have some rough numbers regarding cost. It all depends on how many in our group. Therefore, we would like you to let us know if you are SERIOUSLY INTERESTED in joining us on this trip.
Dates: February 20th - 27th (Saturday to Saturday)
4 bedroom condos at Alpenglow $8800 for the week.
8 people $1100 or 7 people $1300
American and United have direct flights from O'Hare airport to Bozeman Montana (BZN) for $388 plus taxes as of today.
Ikon Passes range from $1449 to $529 for 4 days.
Transportation from Bozeman Airport to Big Sky (50 miles)
Shuttle Service with grocery stop $550 for 7 - 14 people each way.
You would be responsible for purchasing your own airfare and Ikon Passes. These prices are not final.
Please email Sharonpear@gmail.com. in the next week if you are interested in joining this trip. Once we have a count on the number of people we can go ahead and book the accommodations and get final prices. We'll then open the trip up for sign ups and deposits.

Upcoming Events - If anyone has ideas for events, please let us know by sending an email to SitzmarkIL@gmail.com or attend the meetings. If you would like to organize an event but not sure what, some past ideas include Hiking, Pedal Tavern, Segway, and Kayaking during warm weather months. And winter hiking, snowshoeing, X-C skiing in cold weather months.
If you are doing Biking, Beer Gardens, or other impromptu events on the weekend and want to invite anyone interested, send an email to SitzmarkIL@gmail.com with the details, and a quick note will be sent out. Include, name, phone #, where to meet, when to meet, and what the event is.
Advice for those organizing events:
If you volunteered to organize & run an event…THANK YOU!! Your club appreciates you taking the time to volunteer and contribute your ideas. Now…the next step is to contact our PREZ, Amber Timm, who will help PROMOTE your trip/event in the club weekly updates, which communicates our event to the club. Our PREZ, and/or any of our board members are more than happy to assist you and provide you with suggestions on how to sell the event. If you need help designing a flyer, contact any of the board members who will be delighted to assist you. Our co-VP's - Betty & Tari, coordinate all our Social events and non-ski trips.
